Ive always been fascinated by the following lines from the Bible ..

1 Corinthians 13 : The Excellence of Love
Love is patient.. love is kind .. love is not jealous;
love does not brag and is not arrogant.. does not act unbecomingly;
It does not seek its own..is not provoked..
Does not take into account a wrong suffered.. does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
bears all things..believes all things...hopes all things..endures all things.
Love never fails...

These lines never failed to evince an "awww.. dis is so beautiful", deep within me , when I watched a very young Mandy Moore utter them , in all her earnest fresh-faced innocence in A Walk to Remember..

Someday if I ever get married, I would love to have a very warm lil private ceremony ... dim lights or better still candlelight, amidst orchids and gardenias and carnations , scented air ...ah there I go again :D..
(P.S : We girls are naturals at imagery .... especially when we get tuned into the hush-hush-mush-mush mode )
So where was I ..
Yea.. In that cozy ambience, I`d love to have another lil wedding , a do-it-yourself one.. which would have us taking our vows... and the lines above would be a prelude to this...
Would sure be fun to see the hapless guy all wide-eyed and bewildered with panic alerts going off in his brain ... :D

Funny are the ways we conjure up dreams ... Only to ruefully look back at them not quite coming true ...
And then casually brush off these thoughts as though they never meant much .... or with a shrug, brand them as "day-dreams" , "castles-in-the-air" , "far-fetched"...
And ready urself for the humdrum, named Life ...
Its just another day ...

"...but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away."

That's the rest of 1 Corinthians 13 : The Excellence of Love.
Love indeed is patient, it has to be. It makes one wait. But is it a sin to get proactive and reduce the wait if you can? Or does one just sit by the window, stare at a crimson sunset and sigh inwardly? "I am in love and I am ready to sleep on a bed of thorns for you". Sounds corny, but only till you take those words just literally.

For me, I can live with the memories of my loved one for ever. Just close your eyes and she is there, isn't she? But if I just let go of her just because I am supposed to "bear everything" and "endure everything", then isn't is an injustice to that very love itself?

Living with the thoughts and just the thoughts of a loved one is alright, but when I go back home after a long hard day at office, I want to go back to her arms, and I want to see her face while she is blissfully sleeping the first thing every morning.

Remember, its in our hands to make life a humdrum experience, to make each day "just another day". At the same time, its also in our hands to make heaven on earth. We end up blaming life a bit too easily. Remember, it always gives you options.

Thats all for now, have to go back to the thoughts of my loved one :P

P.S: Nice to see you back after such a long time, saanjh. Keep posting.

But dont we love being this jobless at times !! More coz we know these 'jobs' won`t ever happen.

@Byzantine
Life sure is a funny thing , dat at times doesn`t stay that funny.

@s
yea, the last line is nice...but rarely does that 'perfect' come by our way.
P.S Byzantine belongs to the same 'hallowed' institution that u swear by...A 'permanent' employee at that ;)

@saanjh
If perfection is rare to come by, then redefine your definition of perfection... A good friend of mine taught me that just yesterday, and it is supposed to be 'not that tough'.
